Asset manager WisdomTree has added Solana to the six blockchains where its tokenised funds are accessible already
The WisdomTree decision imparts further momentum to Solana, which has emerged as the main challenger to Ethereum
Ondo Global Markets, an issuer of non-native tokens, has already expanded the range of blockchain networks it supports to include Solana
Asset manager WisdomTree is making its tokenised funds available on the Solana blockchain network. It indicates growing confidence that Solana can support token activity at scale.
The decision means both retail and institutional investors can now mint, hold and trade WisdomTree’s tokenised funds using the WisdomTree Connect institutional platform and the WisdomTree Prime digital wallet.
WisdomTree also offers a Stablecoin conversion service, so users can buy and sell funds using the USDC Stablecoin via direct transfers to and from self-custody or third-party digital wallets on the Solana blockchain and the Wisdom Tree Prime digital wallet. It eliminates the need to come off-chain to use the conventional banking system for subscriptions and redemptions.
WisdomTree tokenised funds are available already on the Arbitrum, Avalanche, Base, Ethereum, Optimism and Stellar blockchain networks.
“Bringing our full suite of tokenised funds to Solana reflects our continued focus on, regulated real world assets across the on-chain ecosystem,” says Maredith Hannon, Head of Business Development, Digital Assets at WisdomTree. “Solana’s infrastructure, which focuses on high transaction speeds, allows us to meet growing crypto-native demand while maintaining the regulatory standards institutions expect, giving both institutional and retail investors more seamless, on-chain access to tokenised funds.”
WisdomTree offers money market, equities, fixed income and alternative tokenised funds through WisdomTree Connect and WisdomTree Prime.
“WisdomTree has been an entrepreneurial leader in bringing regulated financial products onchain,” says Nick Ducoff, Head of Institutional Growth, Solana Foundation. “As real-world assets on Solana surpass US$1billion, WisdomTree’s decision to expand their full suite of tokenised funds to Solana reflects the demand for expanded access to tokenised RWAs and Solana’s ability to support that demand at scale. This launch also highlights the growing role regulated asset managers play in shaping the future of on-chain finance.”
On 21 January, Ondo Global Markets announced it was making more than 200 non-native tokenised US equities, funds, commodities and Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) available on Solana.
WisdomTree currently has US$159.3 billion in assets under management around the world, including assets acquired via the purchase of Ceres Partners in July 2025.
