Dr Robert Ritz is a fellow in economics at Peterhouse, Cambridge University. His research has been published in leading international journals and featured in news media including The Economist and Financial Times. His paper on the interplay between carbon markets and other climate policies won the 2025 Royal Economic Society Prize. Over his career, he has advised on energy transition strategy at McKinsey, helped build sustainability consultancy Vivid Economics, and served on advisory boards including at Ofgem.
